A chance to sample pies and cakes with a difference
The Screaming Carrot will be launching
new products at the second annual Vegan Festival this weekend (10th December
2005). The Screaming Carrot will be providing Festival goers with their
first taste of new traditional pies and fillings, as well as new sweets.
Alongside new products such as breakfast pasties, chilli
bean pies and rich chocolate 'noname' bar, the Screaming Carrot will be
serving up existing favourites such as sundried tomato pasties and moist
carrot cakes in partnership with Festival sponsor Veggies Catering Campaign.
Free taste samples will be made available (while stocks last!).
"We've been working hard on our new recipes for several
weeks," says Screaming Carrot co-owner Andrew Mills. "The pies
are a significant new addition to our range and we're looking forward
to introducing them to Festival-goers."
"In addition to the pies, we'll also be re-launching
the 'noname' bar, a recent addition to our sweet menu, which is now gluten-free,"
said Lenore Ogilvy, Andrew's business partner.
All Screaming Carrot baked goods are vegan, which means
that they are dairy-free, egg-free and vegetarian. Many people in addition
to vegans and vegetarians will be interested in sampling Screaming Carrot
products, including people who have dairy or egg allergies or follow religious
diets.
